Yangzhou University
Yangzhou University is a public comprehensive university located in Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province, China. It was established in 1992 through the merger of several higher education institutions including Teachers College, Agricultural College, Engineering College, Medical College, and others. The university’s history, however, dates back to 1902, making it one of the oldest educational institutions in the region.
The university is jointly administered by the Jiangsu Provincial Government, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China. Today, Yangzhou University is known for its high academic standards, international cooperation, and innovative teaching methods.
It has 27 schools, covering 11 disciplines including Agriculture, Medicine, Engineering, Science, Humanities, Law, Economics, Management, and Art. The university has a total student population of over 45,000, including thousands of international students.

Yangzhou University Scholarship for International Student
Undergraduate Scholarship
Eligibility:
- International students who have already applied for YZU as Bachelor students.
- At least 18 years old, under the age of 25.
- No other scholarship of its kind in China.
Application:
All undergraduate scholarships will be selected from the self-funded undergraduate applications in the current year, and students will be notified through official channels. There is no need to apply for a scholarship program separately.
Scholarship Criterion: tuition and accommodation fee waiver. All applicants shall pay for other fees.
Funding Duration: Shall not surpass standard academic study period. International students must attend the annual review organized by YZU. For those who fail the review, scholarship will be suspended or even cancelled.
Master Scholarship
Eligibility:
- International students who have already applied for YZU as Master students.
- At least 18 years old, under the age of 35.
- No other scholarship of its kind in China.
Programs Available: All YZU master degree programs open to international applicants
Scholarship Criterion: tuition and accommodation fee waiver. Monthly living allowance each year.
Funding Duration: Shall not surpass standard academic study period.International students must attend the annual review organized by YZU. For those who fail the review, scholarship will be suspended or even cancelled.
Note: Scholarship can be applied at the same time with admission. Students who fail to be admitted by YZU as Master students will not get a scholarship.
PhD. Scholarship
Eligibility:
- International students who have already applied for YZU as PhD students.
- At least 18 years old, under the age of 45.
- No other scholarship of its kind in China.
Programs Available: All YZU doctoral degree programs open to international applicants
Scholarship Criterion: tuition and accommodation fee waiver. Monthly living allowance each year.
Funding Duration: Shall not surpass standard academic study period plus one year. International students must attend the annual review organized by YZU. For those who fail the review, scholarship will be suspended or even cancelled.
Note: Scholarship can be applied at the same time with admission. Students who fail to be admitted by YZU as PhD students will not get a scholarship.

- The card must not be shared, borrowed, or altered. Any unauthorized change makes it invalid.
- The card is only issued by the COE two weeks after registration.
- If lost, report to COE and apply for reissue.
- The certificate is issued by COE one week after registration.
- It serves as a student ID and access card for libraries, dorms, canteens, and supermarkets.
- This certificate can be used for payments after depositing money via the YZU E-card App.
- Each campus has a campus card center for deposits, loss reports, and reissues.
- If lost, report it immediately (via center or WeChat) and get a Certificate from COE to reissue a new card (fee: 20 yuan).
- Wired Connection: Connect the wire to your computer and open any website; it will automatically redirect you to the YZU client software download page. Download and install the software on your computer. After installation, open the client and log in using your student ID number as the username and the last six digits of your passport number as the password.
- WiFi Connection: Open your computer or mobile phone and connect to the YZU-WLAN network. Computer users should follow the same steps as the wired network procedure. Mobile users can open a web browser, which will automatically redirect to the login page. Use your student ID number as the username and the last six digits of your passport number as the password.
- Bank Account: A few days after registration, new students receive a China Construction Bank account linked to their student ID for paying fees and receiving scholarships. Students must activate the account with their passport.
- Bank Card: Most ATMs in China accept VISA and MasterCard, while cards like American Express, Diners, Discovery, and JCB work on fewer machines. It’s best to bring a VISA card. Foreign bank cards can’t withdraw cash at Chinese bank counters; for large cash needs, visit the Bank of China, Yangzhou branch (No. 541, Wenchang Middle Road). Most stores, supermarkets, and the university accept bank cards, but on-campus supermarkets only accept cash.
- Banking and ATM Service: Banks in China are generally open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. On-campus ATMs are available at the north and south gates of Lotus Pond Campus and the west gate of Yangzijin Campus.
Exercise is necessary for everyone in daily life. Students have access to gyms, swimming pools, sports clubs to keep them active and healthy. Plus, students can take part in cultural centers of the university to learn about traditions and culture of Serbia and also give knowledge about their country's traditions.
