University of Novi Sad

The University of Novi Sad (UNS) was founded in 1960 in Novi Sad, Serbia. It is one the largest universities in Southeast Europe. The Novi Sad warmly welcomes international students, it has deep cultural heritage and warm traditions, therefore it is also called the Serbian Athens.

UNS is a public and internationally recognized university with 14 faculties and 2 research institutes. It offers high quality education programs in almost all fields of study. These fields include Natural Sciences, Engineering, Medicine, Social Sciences, Law, Economics and Arts. Furthermore, the university is also a member of international academic networks and educational organizations. Plus it also actively participates in Erasmus+ and other student exchange programs, which give students great opportunities to study in other countries and gain global exposure.

Today with more than 50,000 students and about 5,000 staff members, UNS is recognized for its strong academic tradition, modern research, and international collaborations.

ADMISSIONS & FUNDING OVERVIEW

International applicants generally need:

  • High school diploma (for bachelor’s programs).
  • Bachelor’s degree (for master’s programs).
  • Master’s degree (for doctoral programs).
  • Proof of English or Serbian language proficiency (depending on the program).
  • Entrance exams for specific faculties (e.g., Medicine, Law, Arts).

Tuition fees at the University of Novi Sad are:

  • Bachelor’s programs:  The tuition fees are €2500 to  €6000 per year.
  • Master’s programs: The tuition fees are €3000 to €6,000 EUR per year.
  • Doctoral programs:  The tuition fees are €3500 to  €6,000

    Living Costs in Novi Sad:

    • Accommodation:  Monthly cost is €100 to  €250.
    • Food and transport: Monthly cost €150 to €250.
