Odessa National Medical University

Odessa National University (ONMU) was founded in 1900 as the Medical Faculty of Novorossiysk University. Quickly it became a top leading medical university in the region. Despite several reasons like wars and political changes the university remains a strong and prestigious institution as Odessa Therapeutic School and Odessa Ophthalmology School. In 1997 ONMU was granted national university status and today it is one of the top accreditation universities of Ukraine.

The university has an excellent reputation in medicine education with 8 faculties and more than 100 departments along with several modern research centers and clinics for students. It has 8000 thousand students in which 2500 students are from 60 countries. The faculty of the university is experienced and highly qualified.

ONMU offers all modern facilities for study and research such as simulation centers, scientific libraries with updated journals, computer labs, advanced medical laboratories and more. ADMISSIONS & FUNDING OVERVIEW

Invitation Letter
To receive an invitation letter from Odessa National Medical University, you need to provide the following documents:

  • Copy of your international passport
  • Copy of your school leaving certificate
  • Filled application form
  • Copy of MBBS/MD certificate (for postgraduate students only)
  • Copy of transcripts of MBBS/MD (for postgraduate students only)

Student Visa
After receiving the invitation letter, you must apply for a student visa at the nearest Embassy or Consulate of Ukraine. The following documents are required:

  • Original invitation letter
  • Original international passport (valid for at least one year)
  • Higher Secondary School Certificate (translated into Ukrainian)
  • Birth Certificate (translated into Ukrainian)
  • Medical Certificate confirming absence of HIV/AIDS (translated into Ukrainian)
  • Medical Certificate confirming physical and mental fitness (translated into Ukrainian)
  • Eight passport-size photos

Arrival in Ukraine
Once you get your visa, inform the university in advance about your flight details, including the date, time, and place of arrival. A university representative will meet you at the airport. If you do not provide your arrival details in advance, you may not be allowed to enter the country and could be sent back.

General Medicine

The tuition fee is around $4400 to $5800 till the end of the degree.

 

Dentistry 

The tuition fee is $5120 to $6030.

 

Pediatrics

The tuition fee is $4400 to $5800.

 

Accommodation 

The University hostels cost around $1200 per year.

 

Medical Insurance, Medical Checkup, Issuance of Temporary Residence Permit is $300(every year.

 

Other Expenses

Administrative Fee, Admission Fee, Registration Fee, Airport Reception Charges, Immigration Clearance Charges, Intermediary company charges and etc is around $1800 (one time charges only for first year upon arrival)
