Bukovinian State Medical University

Bukovinian State Medical University (BSMU) was established in 1944 in Chernivtsi Ukraine. Over the years of its existence (1944-2025) the University has trained more than 35 000 specialists including the following specialties: Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, Pediatrics, Medical Psychology, Clinical Pharmacy. BSMU has 4 facilities of Medicine, 48 departments, a well equipped scientific institute, educational pharmacy and a medical college.

In 2019 the Center of Simulation Medicine and Innovation Technologies was founded at the University, which provides learning and mastering practical skills of students, interns and medical practitioners. Furthermore, this university is fully funded by the government BSMU has modern facilities, including multiple clinical teaching bases in municipal and regional medical establishments, well-equipped laboratories, simulation centers, hostels, libraries, etc.

  • From the second to sixth years in English medium, the fee for General Medicine is about $4100 per year. 
  • If studying General Medicine in Ukrainian, the fee is about $3300 per year, for the full 6 years. 
  • The Dentistry program in English costs approximately $4300 per year. In the Ukrainian medium, Dentistry is about $3800 per year. 
  • Pharmacy / Industrial Pharmacy in English costs about $3500 per year, and in Ukrainian about $3300 per year. 
  • The Preparatory Department (English medium) is about $1500 per year.
