Fergana, Uzbekistan. The institute was built on the basis of the Fergana branch of the Tashkent Medical Academy. It operates under Uzbek government oversight and is officially accredited. It has nineteen departments and employs approximately 147 professors, including many with PhD degrees. The institute offers multiple faculties including General Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, and also biophysics & information technology. The university emphasizes both theoretical teaching and practical training through internships in affiliated hospitals. It has international recognition (for example WHO) which helps its degrees be accepted outside Uzbekistan.
