Federation University Australia, commonly known as FedUni, is a public university established in 1870 as the School of Mines Ballarat, making it one of Australia’s oldest educational institutions. It officially became Federation University in 2014 after the merger of the University of Ballarat and Monash University’s Gippsland campus.
